Dreamweaver starting screen

Hi everybody, need some help with this issue:

In the starting screen Dreamweaver is not showing my last used files!

No more.

It used to show, but since a power failure this option is gone.

Can you help?

It shows the start screen all right, but it doesn't show the recent files...

I tried almost everything, but it's just like jinxed

The start screen opens OK, but no show of recent files.

The link to the JavaScript errors is fine, but I fear to mess up with the files ...

I don't know wat to do.

If the javascript errors fixes didn't work, the issue could be deeper than just DW, but DW is the only thing presenting an error.  If you start DW under another user account, are you able to see recent files?  If so, your OS user account may have been corrupted.  If not, at the very least, I would go into DW, export all site definitions and then uninstall/reinstall DW.

If the start screen is showing but certain features of it are not working it may be possible something may be corrupted.  Try this KB article and look at the sections for Filecache.dat and User Config Folder and see if rebuilding those help.

Can you send us a screenshot  of the start screen? We need to see how it looks like in your scenario?

Also, please try clearing your preferences and see if it works and show your recent files.

As you see in the screenshot, the upper half, where it says „Ihre letzten Arbeiten werden hier angezeigt“, here should show the recent files I opened lately and worked on. Previously I had in this space preview icons, now there is nothing here…

The same as, on the left side of the screen, where it says „Letzte Dateien öffnen“, here should be listet the recent files I opened and worked on. Nothing…

Very annoying…

As for your recommendation for clearing the preferences: I don’t know which ones of these 100s of files in the preferences folder are DW files and what to do with them…
