I've been working on a project in InDesign all day, and it was running smoothly up until an hour ago, when it unexpectedly froze and crashed. Since then, I've been trying to reopen it, but it immediately freezes as soon as it opens. The automatic recovery window will pop up when it opens but I am unable to recover any of my data because the program freezes as soon as it opens. I have restarted my computer multiple times but InDesign just continues to do the same thing when I try to open it. I have the latest version of InDesign installed and am using it on a MacBook Pro Retina with macOS Sierra (version 10.12.4) .
Please help.
You need to turn off GPU acceleration in InDesign’s preferences.
You may need to trash them first if you can’t the application open.

Hi @LYONEL5C73 ,
We're so sorry to hear about the trouble. Can you confirm if InDesign is crashing at launch? If yes, would you mind updating InDesign to the latest version, 18.2.1, and checking again? If that doesn't help, please try the suggestions shared here and let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
Thanks
Rishabh
