Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I have not been successful with converting a PDF into a WORD document that is editable. 

I open the PDF in Adobe, select FILE:

     select EXPORT

          select WORD DOCUMENT

however, when I open the WORD document, the whole document is still in a PDF format -- I cannot edit it at all.

Please let me know if there is a setting I am missing or what I am not doing to make this work...

Sorry for the delay in response.

Please check if the PDF is an image file or the text file.

Could you please let us know if this is an issue with a particular PDF?

Please try to replicate the issue with other files. Check if you experience the same.

Are you on Mac or Windows? What is the OS version?
