Hi everyone,

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on a mid 2012, '13 inch MacBook Pro with 4GB of Ram and a 500GB hard drive.

I've tried to import some footage on a Sony HVR-A1E/A1P camcorder. Unfortunately when I try to open the DV camcorder import, Premiere Elements immediately crashes, leaving me unable to import the footage that I need to. I don;t have any other issues with Adobe Premiere Elements, other than the DV camera import.

Thank you!

Hi AdobeFilmmaker,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forum.

I understand you are facing issue while importing from a camcorder.

Please check your camera model in this article of compatible devices list.

Can we try the following steps:

- Try to convert your video via "Format Factory"

- You can download it from here.

- Try to import the converted video in PRE & test its output as well.

Hope this works

Thanks

Regards
