Hi I use Acrobat Pro DC, 2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30060

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 15.6.30060.147031

AGM: 4.30.58

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.33916

The functionality "Fill & Sign" stopped working, when I choose "Fill & Sign" tool the PDF file is not loaded and I see the blank page. Please advice how to fix it. I fully reinstalled the Acrobat but it did not fix the problem.

The PDF file which you are using is a scanned document? If yes then go to application Preferences, Edit > Preferences

From categories go to 'Page Display' and check the option for 'Show Large Images'

Also are you signed in with your Adobe ID in Acrobat?

If not then sign in with your adobe id.

I'm having the same experience. Deleting Acrobat and reinstalling seems to be the only fix.

I was having the same problem on a new MacBook Air. I just updated to El Capitan and the problem seems to have gone away.

Hi anzyny,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. In order to help us find the root cause of the issue, kindly provide us the following details :

For Windows OS

1. Go to Run (Window + R). Type "regedit".

     For 64 bit machine go to :  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\WebResource

For 32 bit machine go to:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\WebResource

and please verify if "cError" entry has been created or not.

2.  Kindly share the snapshot of the contents of these two locations :

For 64 bit machine go to :

    • C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\<Reader/Acrobat installation>/WebResources/Resource0
    • C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\<Reader/Acrobat installation>/AcroCEF

For 32 bit machine go to:

    • C:\ProgramFiles\<Reader/Acrobat installation>/WebResources/Resource0
    • C:\ProgramFiles\<Reader/Acrobat installation>/AcroCEF

For MAC OS

1. Does this also happen with other applications like Send and Track, Send for Signature etc.?

2. When the blank screen appears while opening Fill and Sign, go to Activity Monitor and check whether a process named "RdrCEF"/"AcroCEF" is running or not?

3. Also go to Console application and verify if any crash logs have been generated under "User Diagnostic Reports"/"System Diagnostic Reports". If yes, please share them with us.

3. Go to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/<Reader/Acrobat>/DC/WebResources/Resource0 and capture the snapshot of the contents. Please share the snapshot.

Thanks and Regards,

Sandeep

Hi sangrover !

FYI, I've just installed the last update. No change 😞

Edit : There was no change the first day but everything seems OK now. I 've no explanation to help. Juste relieved it's working again, since I had a few docs waiting to be signed.

Hello,

I am having the same problem. I have been in three different sessions with chat support and have been unable to find a solution.

Here is what we did:

  • deleted and reinstalled acrobat pro / dc three times
  • confirmed that I can sign through the cloud portal, but not the desktop app
  • Deleted .plist directories and reinstalled the desktop app

I still have an open ticket with no resolution.

Hello,

Same problem here.

I can still sign with the Document Cloud hopefully, but it's not the best option.

Did someone have success fixing it ?

I had the same problem. I un-ticked the "Run this program in compatibility mode for"  in Properties - Compatibility tab. Now it's working again.

Hi Kathym,

This fix is only for Windows right?

Mac users don't have this option.
