Sending an editable PDF

I had a  editable PDFcompany order form made.  Had success emailing it to many clients for their use.

Tried to simply email it to my website manager so that he could place it on our website.

Two problems, when he received it, it had completely lost its editable capabilities, and secondly, was therfor unable to load it to our website for use and client download.

What did we do wrong?

So, when you emailed it to clients, it worked. When you emailed it to the boss, it didn't? There could be many reasons for this. The first I would suspect is that either this isn't a fully compliant pdf and his version of Reader isn't liking it or he isn't opening it in Reader at all (maybe using some other pdf viewer or even a web browser).

If this PDFCompany thing is a third party tool, you may be out of luck. If Acrobat was used to create the pdf, we could probably help more.

Was it the format that it was originally created in that is causing this problem?

Forms are more than "just a document". They are very complex and many things can go wrong.

Have you confirmed that your website manager is actually using Adobe Reader (and not a web browser) to open the pdf files?

Also, have you tried transferring the file a different way other than using email? Email sometimes will corrupt a pdf document although from what your describing here, this doesn't sound like the typical corruption.
