error box opening lightroom

I keep getting this pop up when trying to open lightroom. I do not know what it means. I had been using the application with no problems prior to this. And I can not attach the image either so this is what it says: The lightroom catalog named "lightroom catalog" cannot be opened because another application already has it opened. Quit the other copy of lightroom before trying to launch.

Please close all the running application and restart the machine and open Lightroom and check if that works.
