Hi,

I have to uninstall Illustrator and adobe cloud from a PC, a user have installed this by mistake.

The problem is when I try to uninstall Illustrator I have a message that request udpating the cloud application when doing so it's run for a day without completing the installation. I have tried it several times.

So I cannot uninstall the whole package and the application.

There are still space on HD  the problem is seems to be related to Adobe product that take too much ram and cannot update...

So how can uninstall Illustrator and Cloud application without updating it ...
How to by pass this update?

This is not making sense that we have to update to uninstall....

By the way if the system not meet the minimum requirement it should not allow to install the applications...

Hi,

First I must say the problem was on a PC running Windows7 and having more 300gig of free space.

After one hour of work I finally get everything uninstalled.

What I did

I stop all adobe services manually.

I tried to uninstall = didn't work still have the Cloud udpate message = FAIL

So I stop all all adobe services manually again.

I have tried the Cloud cleaning tool, I have tried option clean ALL

I tried to uninstall with MS uninstaller = still have the Cloud update message = FAIL

So I stop all all ad

I have tried with CC Cleaner (from Piriform)

I have also tried to uninstall from Windows Add and remove programs

with no luck as the cloud message for update appear...

Should I stop the cloud service first?

Should I use the creative cloud cleaner first?

Then I stop MS update service, I was not able to make the Windows updates since I have installed the Adobe cloud so now because the adobe service was stopped I was able to perform MS update.

I restart the computer then I checked the installed software and all Abobe software where uninstalled!
This is really strange, as I didn't try to uninstalled since the MS update...

So the Adobe uninstaller issue seems related to MS update....

I'm glad I have finally removed the whole thing as Adobe cloud service was draining all the computer resources.

Hope Adobe will fix the ram issue, I do miss the old CD version that was not taking all system resources.

This process is maddening.  It is such utter and convoluted non-sense, to first have to install and update to uninstall a product that you don't want to begin with.  There are very few softwares in the world that behave this way.

This is Adobe attempting to upsell I suspect.  I refuse to use the overly priced Adobe products any more.   There is plenty of on the market, open source competition.
