Command+Z not working, anyone know why?

I'm a student and had to wait to update After Effects until after Spring Semester,

now my lovely and ever so needed Command+Z has been kidnapped.

I want to go full on Liam Neeson to get it back, unless someone

else has a particular set of skills?

maybe you have some kind of software on, that hijacked the keystroke?

does it work with other apps?

try reset your preferences: Reset After Effects Preferences

Thanks, seems to work again after shutting everything all the way off and restarting.
