Need a little help here. My IT department has tried everything. I have a large file made up of 82 pages which needs condensed down. In order to do so, I try deleting pages from the document. The document contains links so those are being deleted as well. After I delete pages and double click into a text box, the file crashes and never opens again. This is very frustrating as I have to start over from scratch time in and time out. Please help.

I just deleted preferences and that didn't work. Any other thoughts?

Did you try going into Preferences and turning off Advanced Type > Type Contextual Controls?

Did you try turning off GPU acceleration?

Did you try exporting to IDML; reopen IDML file: save as INDD fresh document?

LATEST

Hi,

I suggest you update to latest InDesign CC 2017.1 if you are on CC 2017.0

If you are already on the latest InDesign version, then the following may help.

If you have a Mac running OS 10.12.4, with a compatible Intel GPU, turning off GPU performance from preferences and then try working.

Do let us know if this helped.
