Import existing cataloge

I re install Windows 10 on my pc and the lightroom program. I can't import my last saved cataloge. Please help.

Why can't you import that catalog?

What have you tried? What happens? Provide details! Lots and lots of details. Leave nothing out.

I get a message saying " it appears that the catloge you try to open is not

lightroon catalog". My file is lightroom backup dated May 9th 2017. ircat

If it was created by Lightroom 6 or Lightroom CC 2015, you'd have to unzip the file first before you can import the catalog.

I got the following message when I tried to open the recent catalog:

"Lightroom cannot use the catalog named "new.Irct" because it is not

writable and cannot be opened"

As I said I had to reinstall Lightroom and Adobe cloud.

In lightroom I went to file/open catalog and to the saved cataloge in my pc. It was not opened.
