Rating photos in survey view

I have a problem when adding a rating to photos. Basically what's happening is that when going to survey view after selecting a group of photos in the filmstrip (not in the grid) the rating applies to all of the selected photos instead of just the active one. This is happening after I updated lightroom to its latest version (CC 2017 - 2015.10 release).
