How to control the rotation of an object using expressions ?

hello  im bigganer user of adobe after effects and i  and i'm nobbie using expressions so want use audio to controle the rotation of the z axis of an object i have problem when it start rotating it rotate along that 360 degree and when it reach the lowest frequencies of the audio goes backwards instead of slowing down
