The size of the margins can't be larger than the size of the page. You probably have margins on your existing page size that are OK, but would be too large for your new page size.

First go to the Pages panel and double-click on your Master pages. Next, go to Layout>Margins and Columns and change the margins to 0. Now try to change your page size and it should work.

Hi Jutta,

the message clearly is pointing at the problem.
Adjust your page margins. Set them to zero.

Before all visit your master pages.
Then proceed with the pages, if changing to a new document size is not possible.

If all does not help, create a new document from scratch and copy/paste all your contents over to the new document.

Regards,
Uwe
