We are not currently accepting editorial content at Adobe Stock. All licenses are for commercial use therefor releases are required for recognizable people and/or property along with any and all trademarked brands.

I'm a professional photojournalist. Are you telling me to ask for a release from the celebrities I'm taking pictures?

ex. prime ministers or actors?

By @LYDIA VERO

Yes.

But be careful. Adobe stock is a living project. Rules may change, and as the answer from Mat was true seven years ago, Adobe stock now accepts illustrative editorial assets. So trademaks may be OK, depending on the newsworthiness, but they still do not people without a release. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/illustrative-editorial-content.html

Adobe Stock does not accept editorial images containing people. They accept Illustrative Editorial.

By @LYDIA VERO

==========

YES!  That's exactly what you must do to use their likeness commercially.

It's a legal requirement to protect you and customers from lawsuits.
