Table Header

I've created a table in a text frame with 2 columns. 'Selection' and 'Table 26 - ...' text are set to 'span all columns'. I also inserted 0.625" of space after 'Table 26'. After inserting a table underneath that needs to take up 2 columns on the page, the heading of the same table that continues on the right does not line up. Is there something I can do to make the tops of the table line up? I think the 0.625" of space after added is not 'spanning' all the way to the right,

Open Table Options and set "space before tab" to zero.
