How safe is it to remove a bunch of profiles I will never need? They show up in the print dialog and I have to scroll though them every time to get to my custom made ones. Attached is a screen shot of some of them.

Windows here too - but I have some similar "special purpose" profiles under Program Files (x86) > Common Files > Adobe > Color.

These profiles are not duplicated in the standard system folder, which is Windows > system32 > spool > drivers > color.

In other words - look under application, not system. Also note that profiles have internal and external names, one visible to the user, the other to the system. So that might be the reason a search comes up empty.

Should not be an issue - but I would not delete them. Just move them into another folder so that if you do need one later you could always put it back.

Now I need to find them. Have looked everywhere, in all the libraries, application support folder, etc. Simple Mac search does not find them by name or file type. Color sync utility shows a few of them and their paths, but the profiles are just not there.

Hi

I use Windows not Mac but my understanding is that on MAC they should be in one of two places:

Mac HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles - if located here all users can use them, but only admin users and authenticated installers can add or remove them.

Mac HD/Users/<username>/Library/ColorSync/Profiles - profiles in this location can only be used by this user.
