The "basic" panel has disappeared in my LR 5 - How do I get it back?

Moving to Photoshop Lightroom​

Right-click (Ctrl/Click Mac) on one of the other panel headers and make sure there is a checkmark in Basic.

OR

Click on the Window menu and go to Panels and click on Basic.

To do this, you must be in the Develop module.
