Thanks!

So I tried all the suggestions and below worked....but then I restarted my computer and the edit in photoshop command is again missing anf now there is no plist file to remove.....

Solution 1: Rebuild the Photoshop plist file.

  • Close Photoshop Lightroom.

  • Navigate to the //Users/[user name]/LIbrary/Preferences/ folder.

  • Drag the com.adobe.Photoshop.plist file in the Trash.

  • Start Photoshop. Photoshop re-creates the plist file.

Important: Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7 and later. If you need access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.

Any chance at all that you are working with smart previews and the master photos are not available? I know, remote possibility.

Try updating to LR CC 2015.10.1 which Adobe released earlier today. Go to the Apps tab in Creative Cloud and update Camera Raw CC and Lightroom CC

Or update Lightroom from the direct link below. Twirl open the LR6 tab and the latest update can be found at the top of the list.

Download Photoshop Lightroom

Are the prefs stored with the catalog? You could try trashing the saved prefs again.
