Hi,

Is it possible to continue the path I've made with the pen tool? I had to click something else on my PC and the path automatically closed.

Can you show us a screenshot please?

Yes it is possible to continue the path... either you need to remove one of the path points to break the path back up or use the pen tool to click on the last path point to tell it that you want to continue from that place.

To remove anchor points and break a path use this tool:

To continue a path from where you left off take the pen tool and hover over the last point you made. When this symbol appears click once to tell Photoshop to continue the Path from that place. Then proceed to draw the rest of your paths.

It is possible. With Pen Tool active press Ctrl to switch to Selection tool and click on shape to activate it (if path outline is not visible). Release Ctrl and click with the Pen Tool on the end point then continue clicking to add anchor point or to continue drawing shape.

If you have path in Paths panel then click on it to see paths outline, navigate Pen Tool over end point and click once then continue clicking to add more anchor points and to continue drawing path.

Or use the alternative method provided by @Bojan_Zivkovic.

As with most Adobe Programmes... there is as they say... more than one way to "skin the cat".

In addition to all the above, you can tell when you've done it right when "Pick up path"  appears in the History panel.
