Removing background from images

Hi Everyone

I have a small project for my daughter's softball team and need some help on a good software to remove the background from the images.

I know that PSE has the ability to do this with magic extractor however I need something that will do it in a quick and efficient way without spending to much time on each image.

any help will be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately, there's not really any magic formula to instantly remove a subject from background. That said, there are many ways to do it, and a specific technique may be suited to a particular image.  If you can post a sample image, we'd be able to offer better suggestions.
