Restore Lightroom frm Backup

I lost my hard drive but luckily I have the most resent backup stored on an external drive.  When I opened Lightroom Creative Cloud it said that it needed to convert the catalog before opening.  When it opened my whole filing structure on the left side was back from 2 years ago.  I see the date on my most current backup was from today but I don't understand how to get restore to my current structure.  What can I do?

Best you do some research before you alter things too much-

If the restored catalog is "from 2 years ago" then it is obviously not the "most recent". You should search the OS again to find the "most recent" and follow the advice in the link above.
