"The application cannot be started correctly (0xc0000142).
Click OK to close the application."
But the OK button just closes this alert.
I'm getting this error when trying to open InDesign CS6 or open a file in already opened ID CS6.
Searching the Forum about solutions I can't figure out how to solve this.
Tried to call Adobe Support, but they tell me to ask here... because... well, I don't know why.
Thanks in advance.
Regards from Brazil.

Hi lf.corullon,
Are you still able to use the app? Did you recently update your OS? Was the ID CS6 working fine earlier?

Om

Yes. Windows 10 updated last week.
InDesign works fine. Only this error message...

Thanks for the information. This error is mainly related to missing or corrupt DLL files. I assume while updating the OS, that could have happened. If you have the serial number and the media to reinstall your application, you can go ahead and uninstall/ reinstall your InDesign.

Om

It's really related to the Win10 Creators update. I'm using a different notebook, that works fine with ID CS6. Today, it's updated to the Creators update and then... boom! The adobe_licutil.exe error is back!!!
I already tried to reinstall CS6 using CC App. No success. The error remains.
Any other suggestion?

Hi there,
As informed earlier, this seems to be an OS related issues wherein some DLL (data link layer) files are either getting corrupted or missing and that's creating the problem. I am afraid, we can't get this resolved at the application level. You can try a fresh OS install (will need Microsoft assistance or your IT team for this)

Om
