Is anyone using LR Mobile without a desktop or laptop?

I am using my Macbook pro less and less and I plan to

eventually do all my editing on an iPad Pro. Keeping my Raw files stored in the cloud.

I currently have about 15 000 images synced with my Macbook pro.

Can I disconnect the Laptop version, and continuse my ipad only workflow?

I really only used Lr Mobile and Web as I also have Original Res files in the Cloud.

i just turned off sync in LR Desktop so they all wouldn't sync back down to it.

I'd really like to use LR Desktop more and it's a shame that there isn't an option to only have Smart Previews syncing back from the Cloud (If the Original exists there) to LR Desktop to save space the hard disc.

Just to add though that Adobe do not recommend and do not state that the the Lightroom Cloud is a back up solution. So best to make sure your photos are additionally backed up elsewhere.

When Adobe Revel shut Adobe stated that Cloud Storage would be coming to Lightroom.

Hopefully it's soon!
