I'm having an issue with when typing text say for a logo and the text types on top of itself after I hit return. It will not go to the second line...just keeps repeating itself. I just had an update and it still does this. Can't figure out what to change...thanks for any help.

On the Type tool's option bar on the right, look for a box with lines in it. Click on it to reset the tool. That may fix it.

If not, reset global preferences to default. To do that, go to Edit menu>Preferences>General and look for this:

Hi barbarar,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forum.

I understand you are facing issue with Text Tool in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Could you please try the following steps:

Firstly,

- Open Photoshop Elements

- Click "Edit"

- Click "Preferences"

- Click "General"

- Click " Reset preferences on the next launch"

- Re-open the program & test "Text Tool" again.

If this doesn't help you then secondly,

- Select "Text Tool" from the toolbox.

- Click the  Reset_Tool_2.PNG to open the menu in Tool Options.

- Click "Reset Tool" or "Reset All Tools"  Reset_Tool_1.PNG

- Restart Adobe Photoshop Elements & test "Text Tool" again.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks

Regards
