Crash upgrading Lightroom 6

I just installed LightRoom 6 (ver 6.0 build 101445 camera raw 9.) on Mac, which I purchased this upgrade to get support for the FujiFilm XT-2.

My problem is that I cannot successfully run the updater.  If I use "Adobe Application Manager" my machine will reboot about 2/3 through the download process.  Is there a way to manually download the patches or most up-to-date version of lightroom and raw plugin?

That's the same file I downloaded and installed yesterday.  I re-downloaded and re-installed (just now), but the information reported under the "About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6.0" did not change.

Unfortunately, that file gives me this error

"Updates could not be applied

This patch is not applicable for you..."

In case this helps...

What finally worked was

* Uninstall all my Adobe applications (probably the relevant part was un-installing previous Lightroom versions).

* Then installing Lightroom 6, (still can't use Application Manager at this point, still reboots my Mac).

* Then install the update setup.dmg.
