I'm currently on lightroom version: CC 2015.10.1 [ 1117303 ] and my system is configured with an i7 6700k and an AMD R9 390(latest driver). Beginning with the last update, and continuing with the most recent update I experience frequent crashes when Im using my gpu and attempt to switch to the develop module. Disabling the graphics processor returns me to stability, however developing is a great deal slower without it. I've spoken with a few other users with AMD GPUs who are experiencing similar issues. I understand this is probably a bug and we'll just have to wait for an update, but does anyone have any suggestions on further troubleshooting or workarounds I could attempt. I have several jobs to work through and need the extra boost.
According to this help article, disabling the GPU will stop the crashes, as will rolling back to a previous driver version: Crash Camera Raw or Lightroom
Please add your me-too vote and details of your configuration to this bug report in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom: Crashing with GPU acceleration on (AMD Radeon driver 17.4.4) | Photoshop Family Customer Community . That will make it a little more likely Adobe will prioritize the fix, and you'll be notified when the status changes

Same issue June 27th 2018 in LR Classic CC 17.4. Support helped me with this. Turning of "use graphics processor" in preferences/performance fixed the problem
