Hi, i would like to know how to drag a puppet from one side of the screen to the other without having to drag it manually.
ive tried playing around with the transform behavior but without success.
Not sure if this is something really simple to achieve.
Any help would be awesome!
cheers
There's going to be a video about this today, check out http://youtube.com/okaysamurai in a couple of hours for the June tips video. But basically - add a Walk behavior, tag the whole character as waist, and set Walk to left and right arrow keys with body speed = 100%.
The other (more obtuse) option is to use transform and arm position X. Record one take in one position, record another take in another position, and blend the top take so it smoothly moves from A to B.

Of course the best way to move smoothly is with keyframes, but Ch doesn't have that function. Maybe some day. However it is very easy to do in After Effects by just dragging the scene in from Ch and applying two keyframes, one at the beginning and one at the end of the motion.
Out of curiosity I tried to do a smooth motion in Ch using the walk function, but not enabling the arms and legs. It did work but I still prefer doing it in Ae.
