After our Help file was deployed, users receive a message "Cannot find or load the file RoboEX32.dll. This file should be copied to C:\WINDOWS\system32 or a directory in your PATH".

I seem to be the only one who doesn't get the message and I checked the system32 folder and I have RoboEX32.dll. Any ideas as to why RoboEX32.dll isn't showing up for others?

Hi Sheldon

I'm guessing you are using RoboHelp for Word. Try opening the help file for RoboHelp for Word and looking in the Index for the term RoboEx32.dll.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick.

I opened up the Help file in RoboHelp for Word.
Clicked on the Index tab and did not see RoboEx32.dll.

Is this a file that others would need to add?

Rick,

We have an application which uses a Help file. I updated the Help file for the application. In looking at the link you attached, it looks like RoboEX32.dll needs to be copied into a specific folder. I think we will try that and see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks,

Shel

Hi Shel.
If memory serves me well, and it has been awhile since I produced WinHelp, it has to be in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
