baked in components

I have a scenario where a component is a baked in and contains required fields.

1. author can enters the content and clicks okay on the dialog.

2. author comes back and decides to remove all the content , the dialog will not let u clear the content because it contains required fields. 

Any suggestions. business requirement is have both mandatory fields
