Is it possible to integrate Adobe CQ5.5 with Salesforce using Genesis? What is the general usage of Genesis?

Is it a feasible option to use Genesis for this integration?

I didn't find any pointers about it. 

Is genesis used only for integration of SiteCatalyst with other Products?
