Screen capture without a click

This has to have been asked and answered, but I don't find it. So, I'll ask again. When recording, the screen is captured whenever we click, but is there a keystroke to trigger a capture? An example of the need is when I want to capture the hover state. I am currently editing backgrounds, but it occurs to be that such functionality has to exist.

Thanks,
from Whidbey Island
