Lightroom 6 will not respond

I open Lightroom and it shows the last pic. I was editing.  When I try to click on another pic or catolog, a pop up states "Adobe Lightroom has stop working.a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program, and notify if a solution is available". I have updated the program and the graphics card drivers and deleted the preview and smart cache with no luck.  HELP>

To help begin a diagnosis you could also try -

  • Check that you have the option to "use graphics processor"  un-checked (off)  in the preferences [Performance] tab. And restart Lr.
  • Delete (or rename to hide) the Preferences file.  https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/
  • On a PC you could check the Windows Event Viewer (WinLogo+X > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System)  to find just what function is conflicting with windows.
  • Try temporarily turning off- Face
