Hello Photoshop Experts,
The following problem just happens to me.
I have several .psb files (from 1GB up to 3.8GB) from the year 2010.
When opening with Photoshop CC as well as version 5.1 & version 4 I get the following message:
"The operation could not be performed,
Because this is not a valid Photoshop document. "
So far, I have the default setting in "file handling for .psd and .psb files" to "always optimize"
without further success as well as my attempt to open the files with the combination "switch + con".
Since no other solution approaches are known to me I ask you here for help.
Maybe someone is aware of the problem and can help me? How are my chances that I get the files opend once again?
And if there is any chance how could I succeed?
I would like to thank everyone for their honest assessment and, if possible, their solutions.

folgendes Problem stellt sich mir gerade.
Ich habe mehrere .psb Datein (von 1GB bis zu 3.8GB) aus dem Jahre 2010.
Beim öffnen mit Photoshop CC sowie bei der Version 5.1 & Version 4 bekomme ich folgende Meldung:
"Der Vorgang konnte nicht ausgeführt werden,
weil dies kein gültiges Photoshop-Dokument ist."
Bis jetzt habe ich die Voreinstellung bei der "Dateihandhabung für .psd und .psb files" auf "Immer optimieren" allerdings
das ohne weiteren Erfolg ebenso wie mein Versuch die Datein mit der Kombination "umschalt + con" zu öffnen.
Da mir keine weiteren Lösungsansätze bekannt sind Frage ich euch hier um Hilfe.
Vielleicht ist jemandem das Problem bekannt und kann mir weiterhelfen? Wie stehen meine chancen das ich die Datein noch einmal zu Gesicht bekomme?
Und wenn eine Chance besteht wie könnte mir das gelingen?
Ich bedanke mich schon jetzt für jede ehrliche Einschätzung sowie gegebenfalls Lösungsansätze.
