Using Draw and other Adobe apps in a classroom to transfer files on and off?

We just purchased a bunch of 12.9 iPad Pros to be used in a college design class Where students will check out an ipad during a class and check it back in at the end of class. We are going to install all of the relevant Adobe mobile apps and we are not going to log into the Adobe accounts on them, or perhaps we will, though we have a .edu version of the cloud where we have a single username for all of our desktop Adobe accounts, not sure how that will work on mobile.

1. Is there any issue with having the apps installed on the ipads and having each student log in while they use the app, Draw, or other, and log out when they are done, and then the next student logs in?

2. What can students do with Draw, or other Adobe mobile apps if they are not subscribing to the Cloud, but have a free account? Do they have access to all the features? Can they somehow store the files in the cloud until next time they come back and log in?

3. Can an Apple SD card reader be used somehow to save high quality files from Draw or other mobile apps so they can be accessed on desktop computers?

4. What is the best way to get high quality versions of files from the mobile apps, with all layers, not .jpg files off of iPads and onto computers for non-cloud subscribing students?

Thanks!

1. Yes. If they're sharing iPads, have them check (by logging in to assets.adobe.com) that all their work has synced before signing out of the app. It's not super likely that they'd lose work but they could. So they should check.

2. Mobile Creations do not count toward CC storage. So they can keep as many Draw/Sketch files in there as they want.

3. No, it's not possible right now to export to external file storage services like GDrive, Dropbox or iCloud.

4. Yes. It will stay saved l

Have each student create an Adobe ID (right now that requires that students are over 13) and log-in with it when they use the iPad. And log out when they're done.

One thing you're going to want to make sure they check, before logging out of the app so that someone else can log in, is that the work that's been done on the iPad with their login has synced to Creative Cloud. It's easy to do: Just have them log in with their Adobe ID Adobe Creative Cloud and check that the work they see on the device is represented there. If it's not. Have them leave the app open over wifi until it is.

They won't be able to send to the desktop apps, but they will be able to save the work as a PDF or PSD (both are hi-res files) to their Creative Cloud Files folder. They can access that folder online at Adobe Creative Cloud and  drag the files to the desktop. They can also save a lower res .png to the Photos app on the device and AirDrop it to the desktop.

I think that answers all your questions, but let me know if I've missed something.

Sue.

1. Do you mean that they need to login to the Adobe Creative Coud on the desktop to check to see if the file synced over Before logging out of the mobile app?

2. What are the limitations/restrictions on free Adobe cloud storage? How many files can be saved to it? What is the maximum file size/combined storage size, etc. provided?

3. Can students also share a high quality version of the files, .PSD, .AI, etc. to Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.

4. If the network/internet is down at the school (it happen sometimes), does the file stay saved locally on the iPad until the account is logged out of the mobile app? Can a file be saved to an SD card using the Apple SD adapter in this case?

Thank you for your help!

4. Yes. It will stay saved locally, but this is exactly the instance where you wouldn't want one person to sign out and have someone else sign in. Any work that's not synced could be lost.
