Exporting 2x Results in Pixelated Image Component

I'm attempting to export an artboard from PS at 2x.

Vector based / smart objects are exporting properly but the image based component is not being resampled at 2x.

The source image has more than enough resolution to properly export at 2x.

Settings and export files below.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

Thanks

Unless you need transparency, JPG is usually better and a smaller file size.

Just what is the image resolution you're working with?

Thx Nancy.

Ignore the PNG bit, didn't bother to change that for the screenshot.

The source image is over 4Kpx wide x 3Kpx tall.

You say the source image has more than enough resolution. What do you mean by that? Did you place it as a smart object? If not, then it has been scaled down to the 1:1 size. I would expect some pixelation when scaling it up 2X.
