Font missing, but files are still in the system

Hi!

My company has this issue where just recently some fonts which are now "missing" was working perfectly.

I got handed the task of finding out what was going on today, and after some troubleshooting I've found that the font is still in C:/Windows/Fonts And it's accessible by other software such as Microsoft Word.

I have so far cleared the OS font cache, the adobe cache, and restarted the computer in between each step. So far to no avail.

I have found some year old forum posts, but either the path no longer exist or the files referenced also doesn't exist, either way I've come up dry in that regard so far.

I haven't been able to find any recent windows updates that has been installed.

Please advise.

What type of fonts are they?

As per below that makes:

• Minion Pro Bold
• Gill Sans
• Gill Sans Bold
• Gill Sans Italic
• Gill Sans Bold Italic

Adobe CC 2017 is up to date.

Do you have a font manager?

We currently do not, is there any in particular you would recommend for this case?

I’m a Suitcase Fusion fan.

But that doesn’t fix your problem. If you need access to those fonts and nothing else is working copy them into the InDesign/Fonts folder.
