Wont Import Folders

HELP

Tying to import pics from mac into lightroom, won't import comes up with a message - Some import operations were not performed - Could not move a file to the destination folder because its not writable

I only saved the photos from memory card straight onto mac so don't know how they have become unwritable

If you can help please give me assistance in plain english bit of a techno numpty when it cones to lightroom and mac

Try importing with the ADD option selected instead of the MOVE option.
