Heading - I have a bog

In my new version of Adobe Pro, I cannot put a heading on a page because only half the page for that tool appears and it is impossible to shorthen it or do anything that would allow me to go at the end of the page where the "apply" button is. GRRRR....

Hi clairedurand -

Can you tell us exactly what version number of software you're running, as well as your operating system?

Also, did you play with the margin numbers in the headers/footers dialogue box?

It is version Version 2015 (Classic) 2015.006.30306 (from Université de

Montréal).

I use Windows 10 (business) from Université de Montréal also.

No, I did not play with the margins. They are at 25 millimeters. In the

top, there is no possibility to minimize the screen and on the right

hand side, no possibility to go down on the screen. Here is what I have

(attached).

Interesting - so you are actually missing the bottom of the dialogue box that would contain the OK button?  If so, here's another thought... I used to teach classes in which I would hook up a projector to my computer.  But the resolution of those older projectors would force me to change my computer's output resolution.  When I did this, some dialogue boxes would be too tall for the screen.  Is your computer running, maybe, at a lower resolution?

You got it. I miss the part with the ok button. I use a portable with a

second screen but both screens have a very high resolution (1920 by

1080). But you get the problem. It is as if Adobe was opening in very

low resolution. But it is the only program that does so.

Thanks

I can't reproduce your challenge, BUT... I can offer a suggestion.  If you click on the top left option (which is Save Settings), you can then shift-tab 3 times (hold down Shift & press the Tab button 3 times).  That should put your focus on the OK button (even if it's off-screen, presumable).  Press Enter on the keyboard, and your settings should take hold.

I hope it works for you.

Nothing happens when I hold shift and press tab 3 times. In fact, it is

as if all the tool bars are in low resolution (see attached screen

capture). But for the other menus (besides headings), I have a slider

that allows me to go to the end of the page. I do not have a slider for

headings, so I can't go.

I have used Adobe for years. It is the first time I see that.

The problem may be a bog of the French version or of the French version

with Windows 10? The thing is adding headings is my main use of Adobe

Pro so I really need to have it fixed.

CLaire

clairedurand,

I do not see your screen capture - maybe try to insert it inline in your post by using the insert image button (if you are copy/pasting, that might be the problem - save the file & insert it).  I'd be very curious to see what you're seeing!

If there is a problem with the French release, I can't help much with that - but maybe someone else can chime in with more knowledge of this issue.

Dave

That's crazy!  OK - Try this, please:

Go to Edit>Preferences (or ctrl-K), and click on the General category on the left.  About halfway down the big panel on the right is an option to Scale for screen resolution.  Whichever option your Acrobat is currently using, try the other (it may require a restart of Acrobat).

Hope it works - my best,

Impossible. I cannot see the "no scaling" button. I just see "détection automatique", the equivalent of "auto-detect". And I cannot enlarge the screen... the arrow appears but it does not work.

Hmmmm...

I have researching this issue.  I found someone else's solution to either an identical or similar issue.  Here is what was stated:

"I right-clicked the DC pro icon (on the desktop), selected properties, and under the Compatibility tab, found a box to select, "Override high DPI scaling behavior" and under that a drop-down where I selected, "System (Enhanced)". NOW, everything works!!"

I hope this is it!  Let me know,

I tried that and all other possibilities for compatibility issues. I

finally get a message from Microsoft saying that the program is not

compatible!!!

What to do? And how come they sell it to me then?

Thanks,

I have to say that I got a similar message from Windows for something else this morning, i.e. « The program is not compatible ». However, that program – AmiDuos -- was working perfecly yesterday, before Windows’ last update. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and everything is fine now.

I will try this solution with Adobe Pro a soon as I have time.

Thanks,
