Do you need to have Flash Player installed on your computer to view the "published online" documents from InDesign?

Hi Natalie,

No you don't need to have Flash Player installed to view "published online" document from InDesign. Once you publish your document, you will get a URL for the published document and an option to view it in your default browser. You can also share the URL. Please check this link for complete details: Use Publish Online to publish your InDesign documents

As others have said, Publish Online does not use Flash. At all.

If you want to embed video, make it an H.264 .mp4 file. This is a common video format and is widely supported.
