Hi,

I am creating a PDF form to help my partner and she wants the some of the fields to auto-tab / auto-focus when the active field is complete.

Screen Shot 2017-06-12 at 10.53.43.png

Is there a way of doing this? If so, any idea how I can? Never done anything like this so I am a complete amateur.

Alternatively, are their any specialists that I can commission to do it if it's above my level?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tom

Add the function AutoTab as document-level function.

Put the call of the function as custom keystroke script in the form field.

Instead of using 8 fields you should use only one field using the Date format, it's more user-friendly.

Hi @JR_Boulay,

thanks for the input. It's not just on date format, there are a couple of fields that require it - where they need the single character format?

Cheers

Hi try67,

Sorry – I am complete amateur. What does that mean? And is it easy to implement?

As suggested, create a single text field and then go to its Properties, and under the Options tab select these options:

Thanks try67 – I'll look at that for the date format.

Is there a way of doing it with single digit entries in forms? As the form will require that too.

Sorry – I meant there are other fields on the form similar to the date design that would require it to auto-tab / auto-focus to next field when complete.

So, basically if I didn't change the design of the form, is there still a way of doing it?

Thanks.

Thanks Bernd.

This looks great. One more, very dumb, question – but where / how do I add the javascript?

Sorry!
