You need to purchase either Lightroom 6 or Lightroom CC 2015; or you can use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert the RAWs into DNG files which can be imported into Lightroom 5.

Well,... I also have a new Nikon D5600, and I subscribe to Lightroom CC 2015.7, and it will not open my RAW (NEF) Files.

It would open the RAW files on my D3200.  I find this to be a real PITA having to convert, when it would easily open them before.

You need to update to at least Lightroom CC 2015.8 for the Nikon D5600.  The latest version of Lightroom CC is 2015.10.1; you should update to this latest version if you subscribe to the Creative Cloud.

What is the raw converter that you refer to? There is no raw converter that you can get for Lightroom 5 that will make it compatible with your camera. The camera raw plug-in will not update Lightroom. If you download the DNG converter, that would work. But it is a standalone program that you would have to run separately to convert the images. Then you would import those DNG files into Lightroom.

I use the CamRanger with my D5600 and have it  transferred wireless to Lightroom 5. It has a two second delay to transfer but as soon as it does, I print photo on my DNP80 printer. From the time that I take the picture,to completely printing it out, is about 90 seconds. I had to do this because I couldn't get Lightroom to recognize the camera connection.
