Camera Raw Filter Adjustment Brush adding unwanted color

I am trying to add clarity to parts of an image using Photoshop CCs Camera Raw Filter Adjustment Brush, but while the clarity started improving, the area I brushed turned blue.

My tint/temp were set to 0 so I looked through my bars and found the "color" option below Defringe that was set to blue. I tried to remove it but it only changed colors (that changed the colors on the image).

How do I turn the color off? I just wanted to add clarity and some other things, but not color.

In the dialogue that opens, drag the small square to the bottom left to set Hue and Saturation to 0

Click OK to close the dialogue
