Lightroom not updating via Creative Cloud App

I've been having problem with tying to update LR to the latest version.  Following various suggestions, I've uninstalled LR via the CC app and reinstalled it and it seems to have downloaded CC 2015 and not the latest version - the Transform panel for example is missing.

When I check the version details, I see this...

Lightroom version:  CC 2015 [1014445]

License: Creative Cloud

I seem to have taken a step backward in version by uninstalling/reinstalling via the CC app.

I've checked the program files folder and that vanished after the uninstall and a new folder has been created with today's date but the contents including the lightroom.exe file are dated April 2015. 

Photoshop is fine and I always get notifcations to upgrade to the latest version. 

Any suggestions on how to get LR back to the latest version?

Please use this direct link to update Lightroom to the latest version:-

MAC:- http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/mac/AdobeLightroom-6.0/6.10.1/setup.dmg

Windows:- http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/AdobeLightroom-6.0/6.10.1/setup.zip

Let us know if you still get an error message while updating.

That worked...thanks for your help.  Any idea why it failed to update via the CC app?  Is this likely to happen again for future updates?

It is recommended to sign out of the CC app if the updates fail to install. See Sign in and sign out to activate or deactivate Creative Cloud apps

I have a MAC and when I clicked on the appropriate link. I got an Adobe message 'this patch is not applicable to you..." It was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. I did log out and log back in and gort the activationmessage

Hi tomh,

Please uninstall the Creative cloud desktop app and reinstall it it. It seems that the app itself is outdated.
