InDesign CC2017 crashes when pasting text

I've got a document that I've been pasting text into, mostly from Notepad, and then editing it in InDesign. It's been working fine until today, when pasting started causing it to crash.

It looks like LILO.APLN has the error. Any idea what might be causing this, or causing that particular module to fail?

Save as IDML.

Open that IDML.

Save with a new Name and work with that.

I'm having a similar issue. I cannot paste more than 1 line of text at a time. I am copying and pasting from another .INDD file. I've saved the problem file as IDML and then tried to work with it, but I am still having the same issue.
