You are limiting yourself to Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Camera Raw 8.3 running what is the equivalent of Windows XP.

A 2010 Macbook can run Sierra/OSX 10.12.5 and that update is free assuming a mid 2010 MBP.

macos - Update from Mac OS X 10.6.8 to the newest version - Ask Different   You would have to update to 10.11 first. Even 10.11 would get you to where you can run CC 2017.

Is there any reason you have not upgraded?
