Problems with creating a Shape layer with a Vector image

Hello Adobe Community,

I am needing to take a vector logo I have created in PhotoShop and turn that into a 3D model for a project in After Effects, I know the process to creating a 3D vector but it seems when I try to create a Shape Layer with the vector it becomes this (See Picture) I am not sure what to do and help would be appreciated.

Check the structure of the shape path group. You may need to add merge operators to punch in your hole. Compound paths do not always translate well. also get rid of the texture fill and layer styles. This is wasted effort, anyway, since AE can't re-create this just with a magic conversion. Makes no sense to have a pixel texture when you wnat to work with shape layers.
