I have the Adobe Reader Plug-In for Internet Explorer. Yes IE11.
Definitions:
Normal PDF:
Literally what it says. What we all use for our documents.
Stamp PDF:
This PDF is the resource for stamps. This is where they are saved. They have the same .pdf extension.
They are stored under "app.getPath('user', 'stamps')" AND "app.getPath('app', 'stamps')" when typing into console.
I can open "normal" PDF's in IE and view them but not edit them. This is until I fooled around and opened a STAMP PDF in IE and I could basically do whatever I wanted to with the PDF. Add content of any sorts. Why is this? I would like to edit my normal PDF's in the browser. I thought this wasn't possible. Was this overlooked by Adobe?
Thanks in advance.
I have seen now that it has nothing to do with "Fast Web View":
In documents with form fields you can add comments.

Did you create the stamp file?

Yes that is mine and it works with all "stamp files". The ones that come with acrobat and the ones that the user makes for him/her -self.

It will work for all files (stamp or not) which are not saved with the option "Fast Web View".

Have you tested it? It doesn't seem to work for me.

What settings did you change? Are you able to edit the pdf in the browser?
I unchecked the "Save As optimizes for Fast Web View" in Preferences > Documents and the
"allow fast web view" in Preferences > Internet

You test it with following file:

Ok now I'm confused. How does it work with you but not with me? Thank you for the answer first of all but would you care to elaborate on your procedure step by step?

Did you open the test file in Internet Explorer?

Oh yes I did and it works. What I meant is why doesn't it work for me when I turn off "Fast Web View". Your file works exactly how it should. When save my files anew with the new settings it wont work. I'll try creating a brand new PDF.
Did you create a brand new one or did you also try saving existing PDF's with the new settings?

I think I found at least 10 Bugs and Security-Flaws during this endeavour.
I believe I don't have to understand why that happens. Very very odd.
Thanks for your help, I will try to finish it off with all the knowledge gained.
