Lightroom cc 2017 crashing on 5k iMac

I hope someone has a solution here, my lightroom cc 2017 keeps crashing on my top model 5k iMac. It stated doing this just after i updated it from cc 2015. I go to my develop timeline and after editing a few photos, the app freezes and doesnt unfreeze until i force close it and reopen it again. I've tried disabling the GPU acceleration but that doesnt seem to make a difference.

Have you tried re-setting the Lightroom Preferences?

i already tried this, doesn't work. app still crashes after i apply presets to a few photos.

There is no LR CC 2017. There is LR CC 2015.10.1 so are you talking about LR or Photoshop?

Lightroom, just made a mistake on the release, but yes LR CC 2015.10.1 is crashing whenever i get past 10 or so photos in the develop module.
