Keyboard shortcut in paragraph style dialog with MacBook Pro

Using InDesign CC 2017, on the new MacBook Pro laptop (late 2016 15-inch) OS 10.12.2 with touch bar, I cannot type in a keyboard shortcut in the Paragraph Style dialog box. Can anyone help with this?

Not possible without a numeric keypad. You can buy an external one or use Quick Apply.

When do we expect Adobe will have a resolution for this? More and more people are buying Macbooks - This is so frustrating.

It's been this way forever. I suspect a feature request would be filed under "me, too."

I have had MacBook Pros for at least 15 years. The answer is to learn Quick Apply which is just as fast (and much easier to remember).
